Welcome Warm Weather
Yesterday was Plyometrics day for P90X. Probably the most grueling day of the routine. I got through it, and still felt a lot of energy so I went for a bike ride, and ran some hills at a local park to work on my legs and more cardio.
I hope this weather is here to stay because it allow for me to do a variety of activities outside and get away from being stuck inside.

The Sun
Finally, the sun is out in NE Ohio!! Time to go for a walk today.
This past week has been a successful one with regards to me getting up early and getting in my workouts. I probably enjoyed a little too much food on Easter, so I will need to work extra hard this week as we head in Saturday’s weigh in.

Happy Easter
Happy Easter everyone.
One week until weigh ins, I hope everybody is doing well. Do not worry about missing a workout today or eating too much. The important part of today is to be spending the day with family and loved ones. Enjoy yourself, even if that means, having a second helping for dinner or some extra candy.

Easter Week
So far so good. I have stayed away from my biggest Easter time temptation – Yes, the Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup shaped like an Easter egg. So delicious, and yet, so not right for a Lighten Up contestant. Giving up those and Jerry’s Dairy Pride for Lent was tough, but I can always celebrate with those delicious treats in August once this contest runs its course.
I got back on the P90X workout routine starting this week which will take me until Mid-July, near the completion of the contest. I am definitely feeling better, and I have much more energy. Still looking forward to some consistent nice weather to come to Cleveland sometime soon.

What a Gorgeous Weekend
This past weekend was just beautiful outside. I got a chance to get in some exercise outdoors with 18 holes of golf on Saturday and 18 holes on Sunday. Although the forecast will be getting a little chillier this week, it still appears to be warm enough to be outside for walks, bike rides, etc. That will help break the monotony of working out inside.

No More Excuses
It seems my first two months I kept justifying my limited weight loss with excuses (out of town, vacation, cold weather, etc). After seeing the group’s results in the paper and the video online yesterday, the excuses need to stop. Jim has inspired me with his “walk in any type of weather” attitude. Big props to Jim and Steven, but also to the entire group for dropping 269 pounds collectively. I hope we can all stay on the right path an drop 750 total by the time this is finished at the end of July.
