7-11-11
The weekend got the better of me again. If there were no weekends, this contest would be much easier for me. Of course, I would not see my family and friends as often, nor have such great times with them either. So I guess it is a fair trade off. I partook in way too many snacks, peanut butter pies and Corona Lights over the weekend. I am 8 lbs above what I weighed in at the last weigh-in. Not exactly a good way to start off the last month. Only 20 days left, so I have got to turn this ship around in the right direction if I want any chance of winning. Heck, I just want to make sure I do not gain any weight this month. There are only two of us (myself and Stephen) who have lost at least 1.0 lbs in each of the months so far. I do not want to ruin that streak.
I hope we can all show a negative number this month. We have not yet collectively as a group all been in the negative numbers for any one month. We came close in February (only 2 gained weight), and March (only 1 and that was .6 lbs). I am not sure if the other contestants read this or not, but I am challenging each and every one of us to push hard these last 20 days to get those negative numbers across the board. We all contacted Laura in January indicating we wanted to lose weight and feel better. We cannot give up now. If we cannot control our urges and exercise properly for 20 measly days, how are we going to control them for the rest of our lives. I have already set myself behind the 8-ball needing to lose 8 lbs just to break even with last month, but I am dropping the hammer on myself and going to push myself these last 20 days. I know it will not be easy with 5 golf outings planned during those 20 days plus a wedding. However, nothing in this world that’s worth having, comes easy!
